The selection of a container is not the only part of the package. It is also important to select the proper closure for your container. Closures are available in a variety of sizes and materials such as phenolics, polypropylene, and polyethylene, among others. It is also important to pick the right closure size for your container. You will see next to every container in our catalog a “Neck Finish.” This corresponds to the appropriate size closure. The closure has 2 key dimensions, cap diameter (the first number), and height and thread design of the neck or cap (second number). With each container we automatically identify several closures that are known to fit from a size perspective. However the “liner” should be chosen based on the contents of your bottle or jar. Certain liners fit better with certain chemicals, others provide important moisture barriers. Always test your closure and container with the material you plan to fill.
